A New Year, A New Way

It’s been a minute since I posted here! Happy New Year to those reading this and wishing you and yours a year full of joy, success and peace.

One of the wonderful aspects of providing Supply Chain strategy and analytics to a variety of CPG companies (besides the very very cool people I get to meet/work with) is seeing what risk and opportunity looks like across different organizations.

Sometimes, the risks come from simply being new and managing growth with a lean Team.

Sometimes, the risks come from letting Band-Aid processes and tools go too long without a real solution.

The Supply environment is fairly stable right now- but as we have all seen, that can change in an instant.

Those risks that are lingering in corners now will definitely be jumping out and screaming “BOO!” when the opportunity arises.

And opportunities…

Small, Medium, New, Established— regardless where the company is at, the opportunities seem to be coming fast and furious. TikTok Marketplace is one. AI is another. Near-shoring and Suppliers as extended partners are a couple more.

Even though there is no major difference between how things are on 12/31 vs 1/1, the act of moving into a new year can create spaces for reflection, strategy, and integrating lessons learned in the prior year.

I’ve seen a lot of triumphs this past year. And I have seen risk.

Time to pick out the important pieces from the collection of what was 2023, and charge into 2024:

Armed with new knowledge, hard won, and renewed focus on where you want to be.

A new year. A new and better way to go.
